Paul Kent Round 9 Tips

Better then most punters?

Give it a go to see if you have what it takes to redeem the massive cheque each week.

SHARKS v EELS

The Eels with start, getting +5.5 at $1.95, look a good shot here. They’re on the improve and Mitch Moses’s kicking will keep them in the game against an out of sorts Sharks outfit. A sneaky value is the draw +6.0 at $17 in the three-way handicap.

ROOSTERS V DOLPHINS

Even though its magic round Roosters get no support in Brisbane. Dolphins are a solid bet here at $1.94 giving their recent form. Forget last week. Dolphins to beat the spread with +0.5, Jamayne Isaako and over 48.5 points is $6.25.

RABBITOHS V KNIGHTS

Souths are the best bet of the weekend at $2.05 even though it looks like Jack Wighton won’t play. The Knights still haven’t solved their attacking problems and Souths, with their structure, have points in them, however they look. Prepare for a Wayne Bennett coaching effort.

WARRIORS V COWBOYS

Warriors are the value at $2.05 in a game where both teams are playing well. Adam Pompey to score 2+ tries along with Murray Taulagi to score 2+ tries is a nice exotic at $26.

TIGERS V DRAGONS

The Dragons at even money show some value here. It all depends on how new half Lhykan King-Togia adapts. He has plenty of strike and will give the Dragons some thrust in attack. The Dragons half-full double at $3 is a nice bet.

TITANS V BULLDOGS

Des Hasler made a statement this week by dropping David Fifita, showing reputations mean nothing. The Bulldogs are without three integral players from their season opening burst with Matt Burton, Josh Curran and Sitili Tupouniua all missing through suspension. The risk bet is Titans $3.81 or $1.95 at +11.5.

PANTHERS V BRONCOS

Broncos will attack Penrith’s left edge defence, which is still finding its way, so expect plenty of points in this game. Total points over 47.5 into Broncos 13+ is paying $4.60 in the same game multi.

STORM V RAIDERS

The Raiders often trouble Melbourne. Both teams are capable of getting away and giving up leads so alternate half-full doubles are $10 and $7.50. Canberra at +5.5, Xavier Coates to score and over 47.5 points is nice at $7.

Paul Kent NRL Tips Round 11

KNIGHTS v EELS Parramatta have failed to score first in eight of their nine games this season. The Knights are $1.83 first try scorer so that looks a solid bet. That said, I like the Eels, at $2, to jag one and get the win away. Their attack has greatly

EELS v DOLPHINS Mitch Moses has revamped the Eels and brought Josh Addo-Carr right into the anytime tryscorers market at $1.62, but the bookies are already onto it. Addo-Carr is nicely priced at $6.75 to be first try scorer. KNIGHTS v TITANS Tough one given both are out of sorts.
